How many miles did you walk or run today?

Just as the title asks. I have yet to see any threads like this here so decided to start one.

For those of us who aspire to stay fit, or just have healthy fitness habits, or just need motivation, I figured this thread might inspire us to keep on going. After all, health is wealth.

Whether you're a walker or runner, you can tell us how many steps you took (if you you're using an app), blocks, miles, general distance, the terrain, what the weather was like, or anything else interesting that's worth sharing.

I'll start. For my commute, I walk at least 20 city blocks daily. Today when I got home, I walked 4 miles (two going, two returning) to run some errands. I pretty much walk all of the time. Twice a week, I'll run a mile in my neighborhood, but would like to increase that to two or three when the weather starts getting warmer.

What about you guys?

Timely thread. I did 4 miles this morning. Cold, but not unbearably so. My areas has a lot of hills, so it was definitely a workout. It snowed yesterday, but rained today, so it was a bit slippery out by the time I got into my running sneakers. The clearing up saw the humidity drop which made running relatively comfortable.

Three miles today. Foggy all around around the track. I wish I could do this every day, but I'm averaging about once a week for now.

Today...

I didn't go up to a girl to ask for her number, I just said “Good morning”, so I only had 280 men running after me. I did 50 miles.

I walk about two miles daily within my commute to and from work, so five days a week.

When I get off of the commuter train, I walk roughly 25 blocks to my office. Same when going back to the train after work.

When I get back to my neighborhood, it's 10 blocks up a pretty steep hill.

Rain, sleet, snow or sunshine.

Just my luck, I ran a good five miles this morning on a whim. It is Sunday, I had nothing to do and did not feel like going to the gym as I limit myself to three gym visits a week, during the week.

Over here, it's been in the 50s all day and cloudy, so cool enough to not sweat like crazy, but to sweat and still feel comfortable. It was foggy, so humid, but with the temperature so low, it wasn't bothersome at all.

Nor rain, nor sleet, nor snow, nor state boundaries will get in the way, if you're tall.

Go figure...

Study claims people will forget you are short if you walk tough.

Study from Northumbria University claims to have found a solution to what they percive to be an "insecurity".

You can find the VICE article which mentions said study here

How many of you believe being short guarantees infidelity from your partner?

With social media being the dominant medium through which people interact online and dating apps being the main way people meet nowadays (according to the data), the online space has become a playground for the average woman (who receives hundreds of matches and thousands of matches weekly) and men in the tall, dark and handsome category, who make up a small percentage of men. Add career/income and that is even a smaller percentage.

It begs the question. Why would she be faithful to you, or even consider you at all?

What I'm trying to say is, does being short in an of itself increase the chances of you being cheated on, or be used for what you have versus for who you are?

Many of us have been there

This is spot on if you've ever been in that situation. Shows that the connection can only happen if the height requirement is met.
