Leg Lengthening

Any horror stories with Leg Lengthening

I am considering leg lengthening to go from my current height (5'5 1/2) to 5'8, so a little under 3 inches. All I see online are success stories. Are there any horror stories or botched stories that anyone has whether it be through personal experience or that they've read about online?

I ask just so I can get past success bias and see the bigger picture if there is any.

There is this story where a man died from complications from Leg Lengthening. What stood out to me most was not that unfortunate passing of the man who had the potential to be a giant in tech, but the fact that the person who wrote it, his sister, made the entire ordeal about her. It was a sickening read.

There is the story about that 22 year old Chinese man from four years ago or so who ended up with permanent disabilities due to a botched surgery. As they say, your mileage may vary. It's why I'd never even consider a procedure like this and am comfortable being 5'3.
