And he went along with it. Thankfully, he didn't let that be the crux of his career.

Most of his roles were likable characters that didn't lean much on how tall he is.

He then says after initial contacts, his "new height" didn't help or hurt him in developing relationships.

I'd say that he means well, but is downplaying how important "getting your foot in the door" is.
