Isn't always ironic that the people who are quick to height shame would have a fit of epic proportions if someone shamed them for something they couldn't control, or for something which they were insecure about..... like her chest which she took a bank loan for. How would the media treat the PM if the insults flew in the other direction first?

My success in dating came from meeting women in situations where mutual interests were involved. Yes, I met women at parties and through six degrees of separation, but clubs, music groups, athletics and volunteer groups are where I had the most success.
Parties are going to be like clubs (i.e. a meat market) and, yes, lots of most women will be into taller guys (especially with the current state of social media). That's just the way it is. If you focus on your studies however and do the things you enjoy doing, that's where any connections will be the most valuable.
I met my college sweetheart playing in a small jazz ensemble and rock group at my school.
This an older article (about ten years old), but makes a link between height in divorce. In short, taller men marry earlier but are at higher risk for divorce. Shorter men marry later and have more stable marriages.
