I would say yes. Black kids in my school were bullied relentlessly if they were small. I never saw Asian kids getting the same treatment. I think it has something to do with so many tall athletes being in the media that it becomes the perception of what maybe blacks should be.
You can see how they talk about Kevin Hart, Bobby Valentino and other short black entertainers. I never heard people make fun of Bobby Lee or Bruce Lee for being short.
Ever see the ABC special on single black women in America? Substitute black women for all women. You can see all of these professionals demanding that their mates be well above 6 ft and make well above 6 figures. They don't realize that their professional status doesn't make them more physically attractive the way the same can make men a far better catch. They have their looks to go on. Ever see Supreme Court Judge Sonia Sotomayor? You think all of her political clout makes her more attractive and has men lining up? I'd bet that Judge Clarence Thomas as old as he is would have a far easier time being a babe magnet.
Anyone see this GIF? Every year they do some insidious height joke that everyone gets a laugh out of and it usually demans short guys in the process. Mayweather is one of the highest paid athletes in the world and still can't catch a break.
5-5'3" is Very Short
5'4"-5'7" is Short
5'8"-5'11" is Average
6'-6'3" is Tall
6'4"+ is Very Tall
I think mine is the most accurate. Everyone I know between 5'8" and 5'11" never gets comments about their height be it negative or positive. The 5'4"-5'7" guys get teased constantly and guys 5'3" and below are stigmatized to the point where people are almost careful to comment on their height. It's weird.
