They get by on their looks. This alone sets them to be this way. People always tell them how beautiful they are and they buy into it knowing they can get their way based on that alone.

That's because they have choices. Is what it is. If she's beautiful, she's going to have her pick. Why should she settle for you? It makes her no shallow than you because you were looking for someone beautiful.
