The Workplace: Double Standards | Comics | Art | Short Men | The Lower View

This work explores disparities in workplace responses to appearance-related remarks, noting that shorter men are frequently subjected to ridicule without consequence, whereas comparable comments about other groups often prompt serious disciplinary measures.

I've definitely experienced this, though not to me directly.

A dude I worked was fired for making a comment about a co-workers' clothing fit one day. He was written up and let go. Same said woman was ruthless when it came to poking fun at men's expense and nothing ever happened to her. Co-workers and management used to laugh along with her and thought her comments were "cute". I remember thinking how crazy that was.
