Size does matter in fights, that's why the have weight classes, but skilled fighters are skilled fighters. Some might argue that in a fight where both fighters are skilled, the taller guy has an advantage. I say that if both fighters are skilled, then they know the opponent's weaknesses. 

I'd believe that a shorter guy would know that a taller guy has reach and would then instead try to tire him out.

This is why I've always figured that studies like this one which claim that being shorter makes people more paranoid is because guys like this can't fathom being anything but tall.
