If you substituted any female trait or even race for height in this case and it were coming from a man, it would be considered blasphemy.

Among Latinos, "Mejorar la raza" and "Blanqueamiento" is very real, palpable and gets a lot of push back, especially for those on the darker end of the color spectrum. It's not even just in Spanish speaking countries either, because "colorism" can be observed the world over.

Those same people who rightfully protest that mindset, will have no problem practicing and preaching eugenics when it comes to height, no doubt.

I've heard plenty of women in my professional circle talk about this openly. Same with friends of friends in college.
