Never really cared about my height

I know some people are judegmental and make fun of people for being short, overweight, or just different overall. I know for a fact that I've dealt with hate, but I have the mentality of not worrying anymore. I feel it's pointless to worry about what a person thinks of me. If someone hates me because I'm short, so be it. I rarely be judged on my height anyways.

Do you worry about heightism?

That's good that you feel that way. Height shouldn't define anyone. I myself am tall, but no one cares, and I'm willing to bet that really not many people will care about the height of most people. As for people making fun of people who're short, well they're just hateful people who don't realize what they're doing is rude and wrong.

Heightism goes way beyond being made fun of for being short. Taller people, at least from a subconscious level are rewarded more social privilege, while shorter individuals, more so males are given social stigma, which really puts forth unique experiences. You should check out this blog

 

Shorter men get paid less, promoted less,and generally, statistically speaking have fewer dating opportunities because of the social stigma that comes with short stature in adult males.

I totally understand, but I have become one with myself. And I know for some it's probably very hard to live with being short, but my life has been great because of it. I know there is still ridicule on me for being short, but I could care less. I've grown to the point where what people say means nothing to me anymore.
