Why is it some women won't admit they're shallow and gaslight instead?
What I mean is, there are hundreds of thousands of videos on YouTube, Tik-Tok and Facebook of women insulting short men and expressing their unwillingness to give them a chance, but when you talk about this, they insist this doesn't happen? These videos and memes get liked and shared thousands of times daily, but if you bring this up by calling them out on this, you either get crickets or "most women aren't like this, you must hate women", etc. Similar content aimed at women which criticize their behavior, bodies or life choices get shaming language or threats to cancel. As a guy in college, I'd like to know why we can't even bring this up. I'm not some incel, I get dates, but it baffles me that people can't have honest conversation about something that everyone knows happens.

He honestly looks closer to two inches shorter than her, but nonetheless they've been dating for six months. Helps that he is worth $50 million, but it's she is worth over $800 million, so you can't say she's with him for the money. |

What in the world is he talking about? The complete opposite of a pragmatic solution. He is technically correct in that "height is relative", but it's pointless in what he is trying to refute. It would be like asking "why would we say it's "hot" in the summer time when stars are billions of degrees? Temperature is relative". |

Yes, height can trump looks and vice-versa.
The indisputable truth is that you can't have more than one struggle. If you're tall, you get away with not being attractive in the face. If you're a shorter guy, then the other positive features have to be amplified. The guy's response to the OP here is absolutely believable. I saw this all throughout college and in my adult social life. Tall ogres can pull and the shorty has to be the playboy type in style and looks. |

Is there such thing as a "tall man complex"?
We've all heard of the dreaded "Napoleon complex". While this is grossly exaggerated, I've noticed some strong entitlement from taller men (I'm talking like 6' and up) when they don't get their way, or they feel some kind of way about a shorter guy outperforming them, or even the idea of it. What say you? |

But this was her two years ago: Isn't always ironic that the people who are quick to height shame would have a fit of epic proportions if someone shamed them for something they couldn't control, or for something which they were insecure about..... like her chest which she took a bank loan for. What advice would you give your son if he was short in today's time?
This message is really for the older guys on the forum. I'm in college in New York City, and dating isn't impossible, but there are challenges as a lot of the girls here are pretty blatantly vocal about their distaste for shorter guys. I don't get much issues with respect as I have a good circle of friends, though I come across some jerks from time to time. I've read on other forums how dating was easier for shorter guys back in the day. How true is this and as my question says, if your son was short in today's time, what advice would you give him? |
