Boris is a confident short man who doesn't care what people think about him and he brushes rejection off and gets back out there quickly. Even if he struck out 1,000 times, he wouldn't let it phase him. That's why he's successful. He plays his numbers properly and knows his position.

When I was in college (a long, long time ago), I did notice a lot of the science majors were shorter than the athletes, but I think this was a function of sports in general where taller is favored over shorter.

Then he broke a bunch of franchise records in 2011 and was voted as one of the Top 100 players in 2012. Why don't we see more small guys in Football and Track?
