I prefer what they'd call "slim athletic" or fitted. Tapered down the legs with some room to breathe further up.

Aeropostale and Express are my go-tos, but Uniqlo has really small inseams if that's what you're looking for. I've seen 28s there.

This is in line with many women not being attracted to a shorter guy, even if he is built, but being okay with a taller man whether he is skinny, has a dad bod or is in shape.
