This forum and site has come a long way
Just want to give credit where it is due. You guys have really invested in this place. I remember the early days of the forum and the name changes. You guys really care about your mission, values and persevered to carve out a niche. The sweat equity is very palpable. Nice job, and looking to see where things go from here. You've all created a fine place on the internet. |

Heightism in political cartoons.
Note how Mayor Johnson and the Hispanic immigrant in the cartoon are portrayed as much shorter (no coincidence that the mayor's facial features are hyper-exaggerated either). Heightism is inescapable in the greater society, but these social commentators purposefully use these tactics to convey a specific message. |
