Heightism has no inherent political affiliation. Individuals who claim that conservatives are more heightist, or conversely that liberals are have their heads under the sand.

Note how Mayor Johnson and the Hispanic immigrant in the cartoon are portrayed as much shorter (no coincidence that the mayor's facial features are hyper-exaggerated either).

Heightism is inescapable in the greater society, but these social commentators purposefully use these tactics to convey a specific message.
