The Pentagon is sending thousands of U.S. Marines plus the amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli to the Middle East following a request from U.S. Central Command, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

According to the report, the deployment could involve “several warships and 5,000 Marines and sailors.”

The request comes as Iran attacks ships and plants mines in the all-important Strait of Hormuz, responsible for the shipment of one-fifth of the world’s oil. The disruption has led to globally skyrocketing gas and oil prices.

You gentleman ready to be sent over there, or this a job better suited for our brothers 6ft and up who are seen as "real men" by the ladies?

I'm sure Donny will gift his son his bone spurs so he can also skip out on deployment when it's time.

I'm aged out of the draft (anything is possible when war gets ugly though), but the average height and taller dudes better not cower. 

Ditto on the Trump bone spurs comment. Didn't Clinton (6'2) also evade the Vietnam draft and George W (6') after him enlist in the Texas air national guard to avoid combat since his student deferment was in question?

Thought we were the ones over-compensating? Lol.
