Wife is having an affair with a taller man

I am a married man with a 15 year old son. I turned 37 last week.

I just found out my wife is having an affair with a taller man. The guy is actually her boss. We were driving in her car that night and went to a gas station. She stepped out to pump the gas and a text appeared on her S5. The phone was on vibrate and I peeked over. The text was mushy saying how much he missed her and wanted to spend more time with her. Lately she had been working a lot of overtime.

 

When I saw trhe text on the screen my heart sank. She came back in the car after close to 5 minutes and I confronted her telling her I saw a text from her boss. She then told me that I am old, short, out of shape, boring, don't satisfy her or make her laugh anymore. I couldn't believe any of the ogwash because she is always begging for sex and I always give it to her when she wants it. 

 

Now I am here wondering who will get custody if I do decide to get divorced, or if I should fight for the marriage. She sounds like she is set on leaving which is hard for me to swallow.

 

Sorry if I rambled on here but I don't know what to do next. She never complained about my height before. In fact, when she met, she kept on going how she loved me for who I am.

Sorry that you're going through this pal. I would get a hold of my lawyer immediately. It sounds like her mind is already made up and there is no going back. She was blunt and to the point about where her mind is and that she doesn't love you in that way anymore. Besides, why work on the marriage? If she did it once, she'll do it again. I would start considering who gets custody and what the aftermath of a divorce might be like. It is probably better that you initiate it before she gets her thoughts together on it. If she kept it going on this long, it would have been a matter of time before she pulled the wool over your eyes and called it quits. Consider it a blessing.

I want to state something for anyone else reading this man's story...

Women who marry short men and cheat on them with taller men, it likely has nothing to do with height but power. She was attracted to her boss because he was successful and had power over her. Women love to be romanticized but you can't forget that they also like to be controlled. Not all women, but most. I don't mean controlled in a bad sense either. Just the man being in charge of the house, taking action with the important stuff, things like that.

While I can see your points, you can't assume all women like to be in second place. These are modern times and most women who cheat do it because they feel worthless to their husbands. Why would a woman feel worthless? Well, he leaves her out of important decisions, takes care of his work the car, and the lawn before her, and he takes advantage of her needs all while not even being romantic anymore. We don't need the BS love story movies, in the real world, most of that stuff would creep us out!

I think it can be really anything. I know some women who have cheated for physical reason. They just wanted better sex. Others, it was money and power. Some it was lack of value, then you have lack of romance. Everyone's reasons are different. It don't make it okay though.

To be honest, this has little to do with the guy being taller and everything to do with your wife wanting to cheat. Remember that Divorce is little about emotions and feelings and everything to do with money. Sad to say, but even if she is the cheater, she stands to win in court if you decide to divorce her becuase the whole legal system favors women.
