Should you lie about your height?

I read that men should lie about their height on dating sites to increase odds because 75% of women are 5'6 or shorter on these sites. They will likely cancel out a lot of possible meeting or matching because most dating sites do 2inches + taller men than the woman. I am not sure about this and I would like to know if anyone else heard this?

That doesn't seem wise to me and I can't believe ALL dating sites do this. Where did you hear this?

I think most women on these dating sites are on the taller side to begin with because most men prefer shorter women. Does that make sense? Maybe I am wrong but I brosed a few in the past and only like 20% of them are under 5'6.

I am a firm believer that any relationship that starts on a lie is not worth continuing. I would hate to be lied to in the beginning even if it is about height so I wont do it to someone else.
