Is being ugly worse than being short for a man?
I'm not referring to having acne or being overweight, rather being completely and unequivicoally hideous in the face. I ask this question because I have been on sites whose target demographic are the "facially challenged" and have seen similar sentiments to what I have read on boards that cater to shorter guys (though not so much this one since we seem to have a lot of confident shorter men here). Maybe I'm biased because I myself am short so think everything can be "fixed". The men who claim they are "ugly" seem like if they put effort into their appearance (hair, clothes) etc, they'd be just fine. Or maybe those guys would think the same about us! Is if confirmation bias or do you all think otherwise? |

6ft woman pokes fun of and shames a 5'4 man she dated.

When people say "Just date Asian women"...
From a 2015 research paper. Every man know all of this already which is why I laugh when someone says, "just date _____". It literally doesn't matter. Now while I don't struggle with dating and there are lots of shorter men who do not, we cannot behave that there isn't a hierarchy and that people of all backgrounds aren't influenced by it. |

Aba N Preach - "Short People Won't Exist Soon"
I rock with Aba N Preach heavily, but am not a fan of a lot of their recent "short men" videos. One of the first videos I ever saw of Aba N Preach was about heightism, very early in their YouTube career where they pointed out the hypocrisy about women and their battle with body issues versus their attitudes toward shorter guys. It was one of their first viral videos. In this video, they cover viral sensation Dynzell Sigers who underwent leg lengthening surgery to go from 5'5 to 6' late last year, and another man named Brian who went from 6' to 6'6! Like a lot of non-short men, they poke fun at Dynzell and other shorter guys by calling them "hobbits" and not being of the "master race", but then can't wrap their heads around why they'd want to escape the constant ridicule. They do end the video on a good note by acknowledging how attitudes toward cosmetic procedures are inching rapidly toward indifference for both men and women considering how common they've become and how people are more open about it. |

Favorite Sneaker?
As it stands now, I can't get enough of Nike Blazers. The over aesthetic, the jumbo Nike logo, suede toe cap, extended sole and color combinations look amazing and can add some street savviness to a blazer and jean combination. Almost like an "Urban dress casual" if that were a category. What say you? Do you have a favorite sneaker? Do you own a sneaker collection? What was your latest purchase? Women upset man lied about his height on a date
In my opinion the man is wrong of course, but we know what the answer would be if a guy lied about his height and ended up actually being taller. Or if a guy lied about living modestly and turned out to be wealthy. |

Woman divorces short husband after her friends tease about his height
I don't have any issues with believing the validity of this post from DC Urban Mom. Even withstanding this man's height, this phenomenon about leaving a marriage due to peer pressure is a vey real phenomenon. I've seen this happen with women who want to upgrade to a better lifestyle or because they befriend party types. If the guy was otherwise a good man, then this type of situation definitely blows. |

Woman transitions to male and complains about heightism.
This person transitioned to a male from a female over a decade ago and notices who differently he is treated as a 5'9 male versus when he was a 5'9 woman, which is considered tall for a female in the U.S. His observations almost sound like "his" mind exploded due to "his" new reality. |
