Court Royales are indeed similar to the Blazers, but provide more cushioning and are just overall better for a daily driver.
The Blazers have a more fashionable appearance, but the flat soles and tightness around the curvature of your feet get a lot of complaints regarding comfort.
Court Royales win in price and comfort. Blazers win in style.
Rule of thumb is, tie width should somewhat correlate to lapel width on a suit jacket.
Wider lapel, wider tie. Narrower lapel, narrower lapel.
Skinny ties are for the youthful punk crowd.
If you're over 25, it isn't particularly appropriate for dress casual or formal wear.
Narrow (2.5") is slightly wider than skinny. That should be as narrow as you'd go.
Normal width (3") is standard.
My preference is the narrow tie.
Anything wider than 3" and I feel like The Penguin from Batman.
Perfect timing. Just picked these up to match my sport jackets and denim for the early spring. Size 10 1/2
