Gap Jeans
post #1

I got a few pairs the other day and must say they fit well. They go down to a 28 inch inseam so they are great for us shorter men. You ever try some on or own any gap gear?

I've never seen Size 28 jeans at the Gap. Not even online. 28 waist maybe. 28 inseam? No way Jose.

That does seem off. He probably meant waist. I mean that is very small.

They dont even show it on the site

I was a huge fan of Guess jeans until a $90 pair of jeans I purchased from the Guess Store ripped in the crotch area after just 3 months. I have jeans that I bought cheaper from places like Uniqlo, Express and the Gap which lasted for years.

Gap was a great brand in the 90's but early 2000's+ they went down hill like so many other companies did with their quality.

Using jeans I already have to make dressy outfits

I own tons of jeans and wear jeans all of the time. They're just what makes me comfortable. While I do own a few suits and ties, it's just not what I enjoy wearing. Most of my jeans come from the big box stores like Express and American Eagle. Most of them are in the faded blue category. Some have rips. I know there are jeans that are "higher quality", but that's not what I'm going for here.

I own a couple of Wingtips, Oxfords and Cap-toe shoes. Most of them are in decent condition where some polish will make them look good.

What advice would have to use what I already have with some tops (this is what I'm really getting at) to look more dressed up? What do you suggest? Which type of belts? Which kind of tops? Sports coats? Turtlenecks?

I'm 28, in decent shape, but putting more effort into the gym and am moving toward getting haircuts more frequently (I used to get them once a month or once every two months). What tips or advice do you have?

Best place to purchase jeans in smaller sizes?

I shop at Aeropostale and Macy's and can find jeans down to a size 30. Short of taking my jeans to a tailor, can any of you recommend a place that sells jeans for adults off-the-rack with inseams down to about size 28? The more suggestions the merrier.

I prefer what they'd call "slim athletic" or fitted. Tapered down the legs with some room to breathe further up.

The best jeans store

A store called Jeans Jeans Jeans in Montreal tailors your jeans. You just tell them the color you want, the style and the size and they get to work. They have a huge variety of brands and will cut it to any size you want.

Jeans... JEANS!?

I am having trouble finding jeans lately. I had to throw half of mine away as they were full of holes and junk, donated the ones that weren't horrible. I been looking around and have yet to find a pair of jeans that fit me like those did. I had quite a few Old Navy brand ones in the pile but when I went to the store they had like 0 in my size. Do they not make jeans for shorter men anymore?
