How the forum has helped me become a different person.

This one is actually a "shorter" one, as i think im know as the guy who posts books on here. big_smile

When i first started this forum, i was an angry guy, i had hatred towards women. Even if it wasnt as bad as i used to be,
It was still wearing me down.

In the beginning i didnt post anything, but occasionally replied to some posts that was within my hatred.
Letting off some steam and spilling my toxic waste in a place, where everyone are in the same boat.
As being anonymous i later on gathered the confidence talk about my life, as i've never done before.

As the result of letting out some anger, and spreading stories about myself. It made me calm, and gave me a different kind of clearity.
I started accepting other people, and those i did not accept, i didnt wanna waste energy on.

All in all i've changed into a more controlled person.
And all that, just cause i could let off some steam, and write about myself, even if noone are reading.

So thank you ShortGuyCentral and its community!

Indeed, Multinational.  We all have our stories.  This forum allows us, in anonymity, to open up about the uncomfortable reality of having to go through all of our adult life in a body that is inadequately sized.  It bothers each one of us in different ways, and we have different ways of coping, but what is so wonderful is that on this forum, we're all 'fellow sufferers.'  We can all let off steam, encourage each other, suggest tips and tricks, and listen with a sympathetic ear.  Hear we all see eye to eye-- for real.  It's a relief, a safe place.  It gives us the chance to chat with other men who also have to face reality every day as the bottom face on the totem pole, and make the best of it.  We need a safe place like this to talk about this issue, because NO ONE who isn't a short man knows what heck we go through every day.  I keep a journal log of my thoughts and observations about situations I live through.  Perhaps I'll post a few entries.  I bet you've all had similar experiences.

Keep writing.  Keep working on it.  Work through it to the best of your ability.

This forum and site has come a long way

Just want to give credit where it is due. You guys have really invested in this place. I remember the early days of the forum and the name changes. You guys really care about your mission, values and persevered to carve out a niche. The sweat equity is very palpable. Nice job, and looking to see where things go from here. You've all created a fine place on the internet.

Women on popular forum disparaging short men

Berating a certain "type" of short men.

You know how this would play out if their users were stereotyped.

Overall horrible sentiment coming from users who complain a lot about getting the short stick.

Lipstick Alley never disappoints. The offending thread is here.

Posters on women's forum debate whether short men can be attractive

You all know which forum that is.

The battle is always figuring out who is who when approaching. Avoid the latter (OP on that thread).

Most likely someone most of us wouldn't want to date anyway.

Guy has a theory on why short men will become select in the near future

I don't agree with it at all, but there are people who think this way! The one esoteric person who does the opposite of what people do just to do it.
