Anyone ever tell you this? I went to Junior High and High school with guys who ate nothing but Doritos and drank soda. Some were my best of friends and their parents hardly cooked. I on the other hand ate lots of meats and leafy vegetables, never drank or did any drugs as a kid and only grew to a paltry 5'5". Go figure.

I'm in a very similar situation. Both of parents were about average in height and did very well financially. I ate very well as a child, but ended up short as an adult. Taller than my mother, but shorter than my father who was again, average in height.

I think people who say that do not understand the randomness that is genetics.

I used to get this all of the time. I come from a caribbean background and was fed a lot of red and white meat as a kid precisely because my mother and father wanted me to grow up to be "big and strong". Still ended up 5'5 as an adult. 😂

Those genetics don't play. My father is 5'11 and my mother 5'2.
