I don't get why they chose a guy who is 6 feet tall to play James Brown when he was noticeably short in real life. Brown was 5'6 and almost all of his peers were significantly taller than him. You can see this in every video where Brown performs. The guy wore heels in almost all of his performances to "compensate". Why is it that when a short guy plays a tall man on film, everyone speaks up against it, but when the opposite occurs, it seen as "great". How does that hold true to his real story? 5'6 to 6' is a big difference in perspective.

It sucks. We live in a time where the greatest short guys are played by tall blokes.

Rick James was a jealous heightist when it came to Prince

I'm a big fan of their music, the both of them, but this came as a surprise to me since I focused on their craft and not their individual humanity. I don't feel any differently about Rick James as he was who he was.

It's just another example though of how in their feelings taller men get when they encounter a short guy who can outperform them in the workplace, on stage, attracting women etc.

The clip comes from Tales From The Tour Bus produced by Mike Judge for Cinemax. You can find it currently on Amazon

6'3 James Vick gets knocked out by 5'7 Rafael Alves

A top priority is getting your sons involved in self defense classes when they're young. It teaches them how to protect themselves if it came down to it. On top of that, the discipline learned will translate to every aspect of their lives and is a good thing.

Tom Holland gets dogged for being recommended to play James Bond

Yet when Wolverine, another fictional character is made to be much taller than he actually is, there is no pushback.

Ironically, X-Men (1963) has been around for about the same amount of time as the James Bond (1962) franchise.

Man asks wife if she would've dated him if he were 5'6.

Brutal. She actually told him she would rather him have one leg than be one inch taller than herself.

And men are supposedly more critical of women's bodies. Yeah, okay...

Richard Simmons passed away yesterday at 76. He was 5'6.

If you were a kid in the 80s and 90s, regardless of your politics or religion, this guy used to go on all of the talk shows and made people laugh with his personality and energy. He also made it his business and mission to get people who struggled with their weight into shape. He used to get bullied (in a playful way) but some talk show hosts (Letterman), but he always took it in stride and had a great relationship with those he interacted with.
