5'0 Women Loudly Announcing They Only Date Men 6'+. Ever See This?

I'm talking about being in any random social situation and a women in the super short range like 5'2 and under rambling and proclaiming how much they only date tall guys so everyone around her can hear. Double ditto if there are short guys around. It's usually followed up by some short guy ridicule. Usually comes from women under 30 too. How do you guys react to this?

Hi,

I think I found this site a few years ago. Read some threads and never joined but I did recently.

Regarding (short) height, I think it is good to remember the advantages. For example, easier to brush teeth!

For me, at 5'4", that height comes in handy at least 1-2 times per week...

1. I regularly bicycle with a reproduction Schwinn Stingray. Those who remember know that they are quite low to the ground. 20-inch tires. Easy for anyone to ride those if they are under about 5'9".

2. I own a '76 Cadillac limousine. Being a limousine with a partition window, the front seat does not go back as far as those on the other Cadillac models from that year. Anyone over about 5'10" would feel cramped driving it. Plenty of room in the front for me! I drive this car about once every two weeks.

Anyway, I just wanted to post in the new member forum.

How did you feel when you knew you stopped growing?

How did you know when you stopped growing and how did you feel about it? Any reality checks, disappointment or resentment? Did you care? Did it have a major impact on you at that point?

Accutane to blame?

I was growing normally until I took Accutane. My Mom is 165cm and my Dad is 180cm. At the age of 12 I was 152cm. At the age of 14 I was 168cm. All graphs, charts, and calculations predicted that I would be around 180cm, the same height as my dad. Then I did an Accutane course, which finally got rid of my bad acne (nothing else worked). However, when I got myself measured at 15, I was still 168cm. I never grew again. I'm now 29. For the longest time I wondered why I had so quickly slid down the height charts, and so did my parents, relatives, and family friends. At first I thought it was my less than ideal nutrition as a teenager, or the fact that I didn't sleep enough or some other environmental thing. But then I read testimonies from others who said Accutane stunted their potential, and it all started to make sense. The timeframe coincided perfectly. I got used to being short though, it doesn't bother me anymore. But it's crazy how many people are taller than me nowadays. They say the average female is 5ft 4, but in my experience it seems like 5ft 6 is more accurate. And when I go out to bars and girls are wearing heels, I'm shorter than most of them. Anyone have a similar experience with Accutane?

How many of you date more normal sized than short women?

Was thinking about this the other day. I tend to attract and have more relationships with women in the average height category (5'3-5'6), than women my height or shorter. I know that short women tend to be more conscious about their height and pair up with really tall men to compensate (my experience).

Who do you date the most?

As a short guy do you win over her family and friends?

Anyone else have issues winning over family and friends? It's tough enough sometimes getting a date because so many women are biased against short men but trying to win over friends and family is a whole other ball game, especially when they feel like she could have "done better".

I am reminded of a time when I was in high school and I started dating someone on the softball team. Every single one of her friends tried to sway her away from me and fix her up with their athletic and taller friends. While I have the girl and I shouldn't care what people think, it is very frustrating to have to deal disapproval and what it does to the woman I'm seeing. Sometimes even more frustrating when her circle is more approving of men who are below me in every way (i.e. studies, athletics, career, finances, personality, sincerity) except for height.

Are you open to dating women of any race?

I feel like at my height, it helps you to understand how stupid biases are. I find all races of women attractive and can't understand why someone would limit themselves, but can't help thinking that sometimes being short makes me really understand it. How about you?

Why are so many people in denial about heightism?

It's literally everywhere, from everyday conversation to the workplace to dating and in social settings. Why do so many people deny it exists? Even when you press people, they'll cave in and be like "okay", but then go on some rant about how it's not that bad or serious.

What do you think about short guys who are muscular?

I have gained muscle mass and am down to about 15% body fat. I've heard people saying that a short guy being muscular is "awkward". On the other hand, many people think that short scrawny guys look repulsive. I'm working out and gaining muscle for me, but what do you think about being short and muscular?

Men Lying about their height

Do you lie about your height? Have you heard other guys lie about their height?

Once, a guy about 6'2" said to me "I'm 6 foot 4. You can't be 6 feet because I'm 6'4".

Another guy working in a store, who was wearing thick boots, said "I'm 6'1". I walked by him and he was a least 2 inches shorter than me. He was probably 5'9.5"-5'10".

Height Supremacists who insist biology? Why don't men want tall women?

If you think women want tall men for biological and instinctual reasons, then why don't men wan't super tall women? Taking it a step further, why don't women wan't super tall men only? Most NBA players are well over 6'5. Shouldn't women be rejecting all men who are not super tall?
