How many miles did you walk or run today?
Just as the title asks. I have yet to see any threads like this here so decided to start one. For those of us who aspire to stay fit, or just have healthy fitness habits, or just need motivation, I figured this thread might inspire us to keep on going. After all, health is wealth. Whether you're a walker or runner, you can tell us how many steps you took (if you you're using an app), blocks, miles, general distance, the terrain, what the weather was like, or anything else interesting that's worth sharing. I'll start. For my commute, I walk at least 20 city blocks daily. Today when I got home, I walked 4 miles (two going, two returning) to run some errands. I pretty much walk all of the time. Twice a week, I'll run a mile in my neighborhood, but would like to increase that to two or three when the weather starts getting warmer. What about you guys? |

Women joking about ignoring personality for height
When we're told "don't make our height out personality", it has to be false if they're right here making these guys' height their entire personality. |

What is your choice drink right now?
Far from an alcoholic, but I do enjoy a glass of wine or spirit from time to time for the sake of trying something new or to take off some of the edge when out and about, but I limit intake. I do have a wine collection, but just for the sake of collecting also. If I have company, I may crack one open. For me at the moment, I just tried Bailey's coquito, which is a sin because I could get or make some homemade coquito in a cinch. I just wanted to try it. It's actually not bad! |

Using jeans I already have to make dressy outfits
I own tons of jeans and wear jeans all of the time. They're just what makes me comfortable. While I do own a few suits and ties, it's just not what I enjoy wearing. Most of my jeans come from the big box stores like Express and American Eagle. Most of them are in the faded blue category. Some have rips. I know there are jeans that are "higher quality", but that's not what I'm going for here. I own a couple of Wingtips, Oxfords and Cap-toe shoes. Most of them are in decent condition where some polish will make them look good. What advice would have to use what I already have with some tops (this is what I'm really getting at) to look more dressed up? What do you suggest? Which type of belts? Which kind of tops? Sports coats? Turtlenecks? I'm 28, in decent shape, but putting more effort into the gym and am moving toward getting haircuts more frequently (I used to get them once a month or once every two months). What tips or advice do you have? |

There has to be something seriously wrong if this is the norm now. Her soul practically jumped out of her chest when he mentioned how tall he was. |

Hearing about your story and experience
Hi, I hope you are all doing well. I am working on a PhD research project on experiences of people advocating for/discussing about men's rights and issues. I am particularly interested in hearing direct accounts of people’s life experiences and motivations, what is important to them. To this end, I am looking for participants who would be interested in sharing their story during an online interview. I’d love to understand the experience of people from this community, so if you have any question or if you’d like more information about the research feel free to comment or to DM me! The project has been approved by my university’s ethics and research committee, participation is confidential and you can stay anonymous during the whole process (you won’t have to share your name nor any other information you are not comfortable sharing). Thank you for taking the time to read this message. Have a great day! |
