So my younger brother, who is 19, started dated a girl who is 17. I got to meet her the other day and she asked if I was HIS younger brother because I am "still" short. Looking at my height, I am not super short or anything. She thought I was 14!!! He is about 6'2. My brother's reply was a laugh. I was so pissed off by it.
17????? Forget the comeback and call the cops! Yikes!!!!

It does creep me out.
What would I say about the amputation? Those who do the surgery and want the height very badly will be taking risks.
What about athletic ability? It seems those who do the surgery never go back to 100% maybe 80-85%.
Why do some people at 5'5"-5'8" still do it? Because there are some successful lengthenings at the price of cost, $80,000 or $50k EUR
whereas if you do it for $25k somewhere cheap I would rather not do it. Some people are okay going back to only their 85% of their athletic ability and walk out 4 inches taller supposedly.
Have you gotten this surgery?
I agree with this completely. Heightism and racism have very similar overtones. Heightism is a socially accepted prejudice which is why everyone can openly condemn short men.
