Can weight lifting stunt growth?

My friend' younger brother is a lot shorter than he is, and short than their father as well. He is the same height as their mom actually. He started body building when he was 14 so I am curious if this can happen?

I never heard of this effecting growth in height. I guess it can but I wouldn't say it would make a difference bigger than an inch.

I think it can effect hormones at that age but not enough to drastically alter his DNA make-up! He likely got his height from his mother's side.

No way! My brother always worked out since he was like 12, and I hardly did until I got older and he is a good 5 inches taller than me.

"There is nothing worse than being held back from making gains because someone told you weight lifting can stunt your growth. This is 100% a myth"

She says being tall is easy for men, but weight-loss is hard for women

Woman shames man for being 5'8, cries for being judged for her weight.

It always blows my mind how they can sit there and shame men for things they can't control and then cry rivers and oceans when men are critical about their own bodies.
