It is so bizarre to see people defending this kind of language and behavior in the workplace.
Note the comment about "short people not being a protected class" and encouraging shorter guys in particular to just "deal with the bullying and name calling", and more so, implying that this type of hostile behavior should not be called out.
Can you imagine how heads in HR would roll if you told someone they had "fat girl syndrome" or "[insert race here] syndrome"?
It's as if people want to have a group they can beat up and mock without any repercussions.
