https://slatereport.com/news/killer-jock-17-boasted-i-guess-im-just-too-strong-after-helping-beat-boy-16-to-death-at-arizona-house-party/
Height isn't mentioned directly in the article, but you can see what happened here. Completely horrible. |

The myth of drinking milk
Can anyone come up with any of the other myths that exist as a "means of getting taller". And by myth, I don't mean snake oil. I mean conventional supposed healthy eating habits during childhood that are supposed to make you grow taller. I have friends who drank nothing but soda, sugary drinks and ate junk who all ended up well above 6 feet. As a kid, I drank milk constantly (parents made sure I did), ate lots of meats, drank glasses of water a day, played sports and got lots of sleep. When I chatted with friends in the past, they swore up and down and that I just didn't eat healthy enough as a child. To make matters worse, I remember an event where a friend of the family told her son to drink milk so he didn't end up like me. It made him change his picky eating habits immediately. It didn't occur to them that they're instilling the idea that shortness is a negative virtue. Anyway, what are some of the myths that we're told to do in order to get taller? |

Why are most serial killers tall?
Did a bit of noodling around online after watching a documentary about Edmund Kempner who was 6'9 and found that the majority of mass murderers with few exceptions (i.e. Charles Manson, famously listed as 5'2 but was actually a bit over 5'6) were all quite tall, as in significantly taller than average. Any idea why that might be? And isn't it interesting that us shorter men are the ones typically portrayed as being "angry men"? Here is a quick list: 1. Edmund Kempner (American Serial Killer) - 6'9 That is quite the extensive list. And I know there are exceptions, but the vast majority were tall or at the bare minimum, slightly above average. This list could easily hit 75 if I started at 5'10. |

Randoms acting thirsty for tall men. Reaction video.
In the field, no controls, just another day of what it really is. Best part of the video is one woman's best friend sneakily walking back to talk to the same guy because of her enamor with his height. Go figure... |

Crazy lady on Twitter is convinced men are more strict about height

Could this be any more ridiculous? What planet is she living on? If she said looks, I'd buy it. This is just insane. |

Brutal. Not something I would share on a professional site like LinkedIn, but I sympathize with the guy. |

Rapper Cam'ron talks about never letting a short man outdo him
Big fan of Cam'ron, but definitely paid attention to this story as it really emphasizes this idea of there being a real "giant complex" or "giant syndrome". That is, where a tall man feels threatened by a short man's success or performance, and then has to outperform him at all costs from there on. This story from his viewpoint was more motivational and not a means to crap on the guy later (which is what happens a lot in the workplace and in social settings), but still fueled by what I consider to be a "complex". Cam'ron in my opinion is a solid dude. The short guy he's talking about "Ty Ty" is or was one of his good friends. I think this would apply to who people consider to be "corny" also. Cam'ron tells you this story himself. |
