Women and height bias Started by keepsake women and height bias After being involved in online dating for a year, I realized that it is essential to lie about your height if you are short. I cannot comprehend why even the most intelligent women care so much about the height of their mate. I have a PhD and make several hundred thousand dollars a year. I am active in day trading, am very athletic and women tell me that I am extremely handsome. It seems that none of this matters in the online world. If you are under 6 feet, then you can kiss dating success goodbye. All of your great qualities mean nothing. You are reduced to two digits which mean little more than seven day old vomit. I can easily showdown any man who is taller than me. Most of the time, I am more athletic, more intelligent, better with conversation and have more presence than all of my taller counterparts. It seems that the idea that many ~~most~~ women have is that my any man taller than I is more competent until I begin to speak I think it sucks that taller morons get better treatment even if they flip burgers for a living just because he is a few inches taller. Normally when I walk in I say hi and she says hi back. That didn't happen yesterday. Most of the time she is talkative and makes jokes with us. I'm thinking it might be personal problems or work related stress or something. The amount of work we had over last week or two has been the same however. As one of the shorter staff members, she normally takes a liking toward me. I know its work but I'm taking it personally. I don't know whether or not to ask her. If so, how did you react to it overall? I never have myself, and I hope I never do. If I do I would just end the relationship. But I have a friend who was and he was controlled big time. Women my height Started by Reggie Women my height I never really saw any appeal in taller women. Many are really beautiful, but I'm a short man and I don't want to be with a woman who's extremely tall, so my preferred type of woman is short women. I dated this one girl briefly, and she broke up with me after a few weeks, and her method of breakup was through text. When you workout, do you do it to get fit and build muscle, or, do you do it just to lose weight? Also, do you do it for both reasons? Personally I just workout so I stay at a weight I like. I mean, don't you like to just relax with your loved one instead of making a night of paying for things? I know some will disagree with me, but I love to stay in with my girlfriend and just spend time with her watching shows or making dinner for each other. How do I talk to women? Started by Reggie How do I talk to women? Okay, I like this woman who I sort of work with. We talk all the time, even talk about getting together to hang out, but how do I actually ask her out on a date? I really like her and she's just so cool. She's near my height and she's into pretty much everything I am in. I just worry if I try to ask her out, she'll say no and it'll be weird at work. How do I go about it? Worst date you've ever been on? Started by Jared88 Worst date you've ever been on? What was the absolute worst date you've ever been on? I have had a few bad dates, espeically blind dates and so on. My worst date was about five years ago. I was going on a date with a beautiful woman who I happened to meet at a bar while hanging out with some friends. I asked her out and we went to a fancy place to eat and we got to talking. We then decided to go to a club afterwards and that's where things got bad. She started to act weird, drink a lot and actually started taking drugs. I made sure she got home safely, and made sure she didn't die or anything and we never talked again. Ever met someone weird on a dating site? Started by Brem ever met someone weird on a dating site? When it comes to dating sites, there are chances of meeting the weird ones. So, have you ever met or talked to a crazy person on dating site? If so, what happened? What did you two talk about? I'll let you in on a girl I started chatting with a while back, we don't chat anymore mind you, but when we chatted it seemed very odd. I was very attracted to her and we got to chatting about stuff, and she started to talk about animated movies. I don't mind young souls, but she was seriously about cartoons and actually was attracted to a cartoon character from some movie called Turbo. Anyways, we stopped chatting because she acted way too young. Her pictures showed an older woman, but she clearly didn't act like one.
